Constanza Macras, sometimes described as an 'anti-conceptualist', has created a body of expressionistic,absurdist, and hilarious choreography that delves into extreme human behaviour. Her all-star ensemble, with honestly some of the best performers in the field, are performing regularly be it in Europe, South America, or Asia. Her aesthetic, which mixes elements from western pop culture with irony and satire, makes her work tangible and more enjoyable for a broader audience. She is an Argentinean national but has made Berlin, Germany her home for the, last 15 years where she continues to work in such theaters as Shaubuehne and Volksbuehne am Prater where she is regularly the resident choreographer. Her last piece "Brickland" is currently touring Europe.
